The work and the detail.
CIG undertakes fire-door maintenance and agreed remedial work to existing doorsets. We use the available door information and findings to define the work, the required components and the access arrangements, with the completed work recorded against the relevant door.
The work we cover
- Planned fire-door maintenance
- Agreed repairs and component replacement
- Report-led remedial work schedules
- Door-by-door records of completed work
A defined maintenance package.
Maintenance and new installation are different scopes. Work to existing doors is reviewed against the available doorset information, with any further investigation or proposed replacement identified separately.
Questions about this package
What information helps you plan maintenance?
A door list, locations, photographs and existing findings are useful starting points. Include the available manufacturer and component information, plus restrictions on access.
Will every door need replacing?
We do not assume replacement at the enquiry stage. The required work depends on the findings and available doorset information; maintenance and any proposed replacements are scoped separately.
Is maintenance the same as a fire-door survey?
No. This page covers maintenance and agreed remedial works. Include any existing inspection report so the work package can be reviewed; a separate survey requirement should be made clear in the enquiry.
Documented from installation to handover.
We agree the records for the package before work begins, including location references, photographs and the applicable installation or maintenance documentation.
